Performance issues
Hey footballers

My computer gets 5 stars performance vice by FM18, but the game is very "laggy" with high graphics but also medium settings on! I have tried numerous options but the ball seems to "lag". Any good advice what to do?

BTW in FM17 I play with mostly high settings and runs very well!

Best regards

Try to upgrade graphic driver.
Watch in 2D, it's better

Switch off as much background usage as you can.

Use updated drivers for everything

verify files (through Steam)

Clear cache

What graphics card do you have on your machine? If its Nvidia I would suggest to try the following to see if it helps you.

- Right-click on your desktop
- Open Nvidia Control Panel
- Click 'Manage 3D settings'
- Select 'Program Settings'
- From the 'Select a program to customise, click the dropdown and select 18 Football Manager (FM.exe)
- Click on this to select it
- Now within the options, scroll down to where it says 'Vertical Sync'
- Click on it and select 'Fast'
- Click 'Apply'

Hey guys

Regarding the Vertical Sync I can use 1. 3D program adjustments 2. on and 3. off. Right now its on number 2.
I have changed the graphic processor to Nvidia-processor from the onboard on, that really helped but not quite there yet. As it seems to overall run well, but then gets a little lag!

I also use Quickboost which in my experience helps alot too.

I am windowing the game now, I am not sure that it helps me.

I tried enhancing performance in the Nvidia panel, with some success, but seems that after some seconds it lags a bit.

Downscaling the number of pictures per seconds helps too.

My processor is a intel CORE i7-4710MQ 2.5 GHz
12 GB RAM

Just tried increasing performance with Intel HD graphic control
And now it runs almost fluidly, performance drops end game when the PC gets a little hot!
