Just wondering since I see people giving reviews from only a few days ago talk about number of injuries being bad. btw i dont think this was years ago for only saw this issue come up for fm 2018.
Injury levels are below real life levels and days lost to injury lower than FM17, so either people aren't taking enough care or they're underestimating what's realistic.
Especially with the addition of the Medical Centre, we can see what's expected injury wise and also who's high risk and why. etc. We're also told that we're experiencing higher or lower injury rates than what was expected. I've never been higher than 25% below expected levels.
one got injured for "kicking the ball". really?
i dont know what to believe but already starting to regret this purchase.

to help/
If only the injuries was the very short term ones. like 1-3 days. But no. 1-4 weeks on everyone. lol
Maybe my game was bugged for me and it would be better restarting. I dunno.
But I always do a "test" run for any new game and if its not what I expected then I have to decide on whether I want to keep it before the refund limit kicks in.
However Im not going to keep discussion with you. What happened happened and theres nothing you or I can do about it.
Yep - ignoring advice from your staff is often a good idea - you are the manager,, you make the decisions.
I have never had a real problem with injuries either, so, early in the pre-season, you have players who are unfit and low-condition and they are probably more likely to pick up injuries - you don;t give us any info on what the injuries are, but I would hazard a guess at pulled muscles, ligaments etc, impact injuries tend to happen during games rather than training but it's not unheard of - so look at what your players are being asked to do in their training sessions.
Use the medical centre information as well - that will give you an idea of injury susceptibility.
In a squad of 25 players, in the EPL, they expect around 75-80 injuries per season. Say the season is 40 weeks, thats roughly two injuries a week on average. FM18 has fewer than that but you have to manage the squad training/match load and monitor fitness levels.
I even went back in and started a new season with a new team just to see. First training in the pre season and someone got injuried. I just started to laugh and quit the game.
But no need to give me more advices. Game is being refunded and I can just install FM2016 again and download an updated DB. Probably not that different anyways and FM2016 never gave me 9 injuries to key players during pre season.
All good, glad you got where you wanted, but blaming the game for something you have some control over. As I explained, 2 per week on average over the whole season. You have averaged 3 per week in the first three weeks, slightly above average, but your players are unfit and unconditioned in pre-season.
FM18 = fewer days lost through injury than FM17 but more detailed reporting = a perception of more injuries.
FM18= fewer injuries than in real life based on averages.
Yet you still haven't specified what kind of injuries they are which would suggest you maybe realised they could have been avoided with better management.
I have never had more than four players unavailable for matches due to injuries in FM18, so I would suggest you have approached training and player workloads the same way you did in FM16 and blame the game because it hasn't worked the same.
But it's up to you, i hope for FM19 you try the demo first before spending your cash, and that it doesn't change anything, or update, or get more realistic or anything for you.
