Games you just can`t win no matter how many times you try

Is it just me or there are just games that can`t be won, even if you save/reload before the game like 20 times. For example I am playing with Barcelona and am crushing most of the La Liga games. But now in CL playing against atletico madrid I just can`t beat them. It is almost funny how the engine just do things that never happened on every reload just to make me lose/drop out of CL. In one reload they got 2 red cards early game, I god 20+ shots on goal and they won 3-1, where they had 3 shots on goal. Stupid things like that all the time. And I also notice this things happening in random games in La Liga, but it did not matter because I am at the top there.

And yeah, I dislike reloading, but wanted to test this because it was obvious that the engine is making stuff up just to make me lose.

There are so many factors that it's difficult to pinpoint exactly which are causing you to lose. Everything from morale to the condition of your players plays some part.

There will be a reason though, the engine doesn't just make it up so that you lose. There's a lot of maths in the match engine and it's possible some factors are given too much weighting, maybe it's easier to accept the defeat.

No, everyting is going well. Morale and team dynamics are all almost top green. Not one unsatisfied player in the team. No injuyerd players. I use the tactics that the team now 100% and have great links between each other. It is just dumb that I crush atletic in the league and then 15days later I can`t win after 25 reloads, trying everyting. It is just set to lose, no real explanation.

I also get this impression as well, went whole season unbeaten got to Jan 5th ot 6th I think won 3-2 to manchester United in first leg of league cup, then next leg out of interest I reloaded my save to see what would happen, I redone it 20+ times and everytime I lost and they score at same moments in games, even when I used different players, tactics, formations.
Starting to think there is a % win chance used before a game, or some sort of mech that stops you winning by % if you win too much.

This is actually a good thing. Saving to keep loading the game until you win is the worse way to cheat in FM.

this happened to me too, and i actually almost never do this, but my season was going well, and i was completely outplayed by the the leagues worst team, they had more shots, more posession, more everything. i reloaded it to see if it was a one time thing and it happened 4 times i retried.

when i say worst team i mean they had only one win and one draw in 20 games...

by the way i saved after the first loss i was going to continue with the loss anyway but the match was so bizarre i wanted to play it again to see how it would go, it went just as bad 4 more times.

download thats others preference. if they want to do that its their problem, they can make the game as boring as they want by saving. none of my business. just like people can download tactics, i can never undertand it but like i said its none of my business

No that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard. It's a game and I should be allowed to try different things to win it. You don't throw a game away when your character dies.
It means that it's actually the game itself who is cheating. You are determined to lose no matter what and you are playing fot nothing.

on past fm games on your save info it used to label you a cheat if you reloaded after defeats, think they removed this though

This I believe is because the Dev/Devs are biased towards their favourite teams thus they weight that team so it can't be beaten!

Is this what you tell yourself when you lose? The game engine can't even differentiate between actual players and AI. How would it be 'weighted'? The only way they could do that is by making the players on that team better which would still not make it impossible to beat them, and anyway no team has that happening for them.

And just in general I find it hilarious when people say "I had 20 shots they had 3 and I lost, therefore the game is making me lose!" as if that never happens in reality. It's even more hilarious when they have a tactic on attacking with 2 strikers, 2 wingers, 2 wing backs on attack, 2 mezzalas on attack and they wonder why they can't break other teams down and why they get counter-attacked so easily. Bunch of brainless morons.
