any suggestion for away tactics?

home team use counter and short pass and mix close down. i used control fluid mentality as real madrid and they have better possession and other stats?

Tell your player to NOT retain possesion in away matches. It sounds strange but it works. Still use short passes though. This way they wont hold the ball so long and pass it faster forward.

Is your control tactic actually controlling the game? I'm playing manchester united and using same idea as you yet I can barely hold 50% possession which I find crazy in fm17 I always had around 65-75% possession

no, actually my team can't even pass over mid pitch in the highlights but i tried to use standard instead it seems better than control mentality in away matches

it does not matter. fluid just means more duties for player and it is for high ca team.

i am confused about the tactics in fm 18. home team using mix closing down therefore i used short and mix pass style but my players lost ball very often in the highlights.

I'm completel;y struggling with away games in this FM so far ive won 2 away games and either drew/lost the rest as Manchester united, yet I have 100% win record at home even beating barca 6-1 completely controling them yet I can seem to mimic the style when away I barely get the ball and I have around 5-7 shots with only 2 being on target

yes. away matches are pretty tough in general. i suggest you use standard at beginning then make adjustion based on the game process and use the right passing style( based on their style of closing down) also, 4123dm is a very good and balance shape. man utd's tactic is standard and highly structure base on the match report with 4231. so make sure u have a dm and own the possession. i got 2:1 with man utd as real madrid and i got 2 goals at 80mins with overload tactic.
