Froze completely at a set point, repeatedly

Has anyone else had this happen? At the point your pulling the bullet from Cain's gun at the end, the game just stops responding. You can't press anything except for the cog arrow that describes what you need to do. The item menu won't come up, you can't use the hint button or map. It also won't let you exit.
