Yeap. No way I'm buying that game. Doesn't look like D&D at all. I'm sure some dork will ask "what does D&D look like"? :/ Well, for starters, there should be item slots and dice.

Drizzt, Bruenor, Catti-brie, and Wulfgar have never looked so lame. I mean even in the 90s we thought they were lame thanks to every dual scimitar wielding Drizzt clone back in 2e.

About every third word on the front page is "Unstoppable Monster!!". Well then whats the point in buying? But really the game does look teeny and not really D&D, more like 3rd person gauntlet. Such an easy pass for me. Just my two cents. If someone likes this then go for it.

The original Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance was the first PS2 game I bought. My friend and I stayed up all night playing co-op, it was great and the ending left us hyped for the sequel, which we also loved. It's one of my fondest gaming memories when I was a kid. This doesn't give me the same D&D vibes as the original games, which were basically Diablo style RPGs but had better combat that had weight to it. This looks like every team based arpg from the last 10 years....

I had that game too. I was very strong friends with these two brothers who despite both being close with me, vehemently hated each other. Because of this, one of them would only very rarely visit me out of caution that the other might visit while they were here. The cautious one loved playing the game with me even though he was really bad at it, it was hilarious trying to keep him protected.

Unfortunately he passed away some years ago. My age, plus being so extremely medicated, has done & continues to do quite a beating on my memory, but I still maintain a nice (slightly foggy) mental photo of us sitting on the couch laughing like a couple crazy dudes.

Thief: "I check for traps on the door"
Shreds thieves character sheet..."I said no thieves in my game only Barbs, Fighters, and Females with a bow"
Thief: "WTF!?! what do you mean female with a bow?! You mean a Ranger?"
Sure, what ever, however you want to label her. O.K. and Rangers.
Thief: "I'm out"
Barb: "o.k. I guess I just kick open the door?"
The Door smashes open and...
Fighter: "Wait!?!, your not going to roll to see if he kicked open the door? No STR check?"
No, This is more like a story, as long as you do what I want it just happens.
Fighter: "I'm out."
So where was I? Right, you kick the door open and the room is filled with ogres and they did not hear the door crashing open against the wall cause they are in the middle of Jamming on guitars.
Barb: "I'm out."
