Or, funding got pulled cuz the game is getting bashed like no tomorrow so it's too long a way to recovery.
What they really should do, if they're developing, is reach out with some kind of statement to the players. The fact that they are completely silent, for over a month now, is not a good sign...
Quickplay on Steam is dead currently, because there are so few players on this platform. I'd think most people on PC took the $1 for a month deal so are/were on GamePass. I also think a LOT of Steam people put the game aside to play other games, and it'll be up to the upcoming releases (if any), to convince them to come back.
I've found a few people, but not many stick around. Those that do I usually add, and I haven't tried lately lol
If you like it casual and at your own pace (plus you already have the game) you might enjoy giving it one solo playthrough of all 21 missions starting on the easiest difficulty (and adjusting later if it starts to feel too easy). That is imo the best part of the experience this game can currently offer.
