Oakley Jalisco Hill Climb 4x4 league impossible?

I have tried this with both the Toyota FJ fully maxed (missing drag redux) and the Jeep Wrangler 01 in the event something was broken with the FJ....both of these trucks just come to a stop on the hill climb of the first event (or near enough we are talking 4mph before even hitting the peak) Ive tried keeping it in a gear im locked on the rev limiter nothing, ive tried puttig it in a high gear so I wouldnt wheel spin...nothing, it just slows to a crawl and frequently before I give up hits 0 mph. What am I doing wrong or is this just broken?

Its propably bug of automatic gear transmition.
Just use clutch button to shift into a higher gear manually - (LB button on pad by default).
