Any kind of wheel support?
Force-feedback? Clutch? H-shifter?

Actually a more important question: Does it support DirectInput? e.g. does it support controllers other than Xbox types?

I've bitten the bullet. My Logitech G27 is detected and working. Here's the buts:

No resistance in the wheel when turning, and have had no luck enforcing some centering in the driver software.
It's very hard to get a sense of the vehicle with no sense of weight or idea of when the wheels are in contact with the ground, had a hard time just keeping the car straight. Steering just feels too vague.

H-shifter not getting picked up. Clutch is a button and can't be bound to the clutch pedal. Only reason to use the clutch is for handbraking as far as I can figure.

Can't bind the 4 buttons above the POV/Dpad on the G27, which would've given some kind of relation to the gamepad A B Y X button prompts. (could be worked around in the Logitech profiler software)

The force feedback effects I've noticed are:
Some feedback when the wheels try to align themselves in more extreme cases.
Medium-and-above impacts rattle the wheel. No constant vibration and rattling as one would expect seeing one's car flying over bumps constantly.

It needs improvement, safe to say. But at least it isn't out right not supported.

Well I can only confirm for the ps4 version (which I picked up at a Gamestop today that was apparently selling them early) with a G29, but its not great. For starters you cant map any custom layouts. Only 2 presets to pick from. The force feedback is passable at best. Youre not gonna get any pulling or jerking from bumps and the feedback you do get just feels quite akward. No H-shifter support at all. You can clutch, but it doesnt recognize the pedal so you have to use a face button. Its locked at 900 degrees of rotation. But the absolute worst oversight is that they clearly just copied the setup from the ps3 version and the change camera button is mapped to "select" which is now the share button on ps4. Its mapped to the touchpad on the gamepad, and since wheels dont have a supplement for that button you are stuck in 3rd person view. Most of those problems could probably be solved easily on pc with tinkering, but as a whole it feels like a barely upgraded port.

Still enjoying it with a controller though. Nothing else quite like it.

Thanks. Didn't expect it to have great wheel support, but as long as it isn't xinput only there's hope on PC at least.

Weak FFB, no button mapping, no clutch pedal and no h-shifter will KILL me if that's true. This game needs to be played with a wheel. I still play on the ps3 quite a bit, but the lack of wheel support always takes away from the fun and immersion.

I hope we have more options on the PC

Yeah was hoping it would have full wheel pedal and shifter support... something tells me this will be easily possible on PC though

The PS3 version supported the H-shifter on the Logitech G27, but no custom mapping and as with the PS4 version, you have to use a face button for the clutch which is ridiculous. I am definitely hoping proper wheel support makes its way into the PC version post-launch.

So it does support H-shifter. That's better than I dared hope. At least on PC there's always some kind of workaround for stuff like rebinding the clutch. Still, I hope the devs of the remaster put at least some work into the wheel support. I imagine the niche for this kind of game has a good percentage of wheel owners.

The ps3 version supported it, but unless PC is totally different than the ps4 version, it no longer does. The only transmission options are auto or manual, and the only input option presets are up and down on the dpad or the paddles. H shifter does nothing while in game.

Damn, that's depressing.

Wheel config freezes everytime on pc with my fanatec setup.

Lol the game is literally rejected my fanatec V2 setup. If I try and start the game with the wheel turned on it CTD's after a few seconds. Turn it off and start the game it fires rightup. This needs to be fixed or I will be refunding the game.

If I try and turn it on while in game it does a ctd.

I already refunded on Steam. Bought the PS4 version. Guess what? My G29 doesn't work either HAHAHAHA. Like, the game detects the wheel, but the brake pedal is stuck on so I can't even move like three feet off the start finish line.

Well, I'm put off until I hear a developer respond to all this. There's also a cockpit bug in career mode apparently.

has anyone had success on PC with a wheel? I see ORR1600 above has attempted it and had trouble...are there any success stories or is wheel support totally broken?
