2) Yea there could be a search option. I agree that it is annoying when you have many plants.
You can uncheck unused strains from the [ show in stock ], there are probably a lot of them you'll never use, unless it's for a new breed. Once unchecked from there, you can still find it in the general "library" where you can search by effects or taste, so check them back in if needed for breeding, as unchecked ones will not be usable on the mixing machine.
Also, if you can free your mouse wheel, and have it free spinning instead of the cranted position, do it, as you can advance through the stock strains by scrolling.... much faster than clicking.
