Wish to delete old strands
As stated, it's annoying to have around, say, 15 old strands you acquired just for an effect, made your own superior version, and now have the old strands clogging your list.

I just want to remove them when I no longer need them.

You can uncheck the "show in stock" option to have it removed from your list at the bottom.

I suppose this works just as well.
Lovely.

However this also removes them from your breeding list as well.
I don't think removing them from you 'available' list to plant should also do that.
After all, the breeding screen is entirely different.

The breeding screen is easy enough to interface with, just search for the effect you want to breed and then check "show in stock" for one of he strains then stick it in the plant breeder. The system may not be perfect, but I don't see a glaring need to fix it.

You're avoiding the issue that it's cumbersome when you ignore old strands you don't want, only to realize you have to re-check them when you're breeding again in the 'slot machine'.

The slot machine should always have all strands available in the inventory to select.
It's completely unesessary to have that linked to your available strands to plant.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I concur with this, it would solve the cumbersome issue. A good suggestion that should be considered.

Necroing this in the hopes the Devs see it and take heed. I have vastly different stock in each of my cities, and it's seems like it should be common sense to have a new stock window for each city.

Also I crave the ability to sort my stock, for example by quanity, quality, ideal temp or humidity... Anything besides manually clicking and dragging in a slow side-scrolling letterbox-size window.

Love the game, but the stock window is head-wrecking XD
