Soft locked in bat cave. Can't progress.

In the bat cave where the yellow toy car collectible is, my torch runs out in seconds every time I respawn where you pick up the car. I simply don't have enough time to get back to where the source of fire is to re-light the torch because the torch's timer doesn't reset upon respawn.

Sorry to hear you hit an issue. Did you try loading a previous autosave? Or if you have a lit gas vent in a previous level you could return to that with a stick. I will have a look at that area tomorrow and reply with advice too. Is it the collectible where you climb up a tall ladder to get it?

Just looked at that level. If you have a previous auto-save you can load back to the start of that level, or close to it, and try again. Otherwise you can try to jump back over to the main section and dodge as fast as you can to any pool of light as the bats will not attack you in the light and actively avoid it. Thanks for your reply Brian. I just got back into the game and was able to gain the collectible and progress past this point after loading a previous auto-save.
