Is there a chronological order to play the games or there are just theories about it?

Yes. Bendy and the Ink Machine is the first game and chronologically first, which is followed by Bendy and the Dark Revival. The Dark Revival, in addition to being chronologically second, heavily references the events of The Ink Machine.

The upcoming title The Cage occurs during the late game of The Dark Revival, detailing an event you the player character hear about but don’t witness.

Basically Boris and the dark survival/Lone Wolf is taking place both before (as far as I'm concerned it's a prequel) and at the same time as BATIM (That would explain why Boris just came in the music department in Chapter 2 from the lift and found Henry). But I guess it also takes place during the events of BATDR too (because of this in the archives of BATDR: https://www.reddit.com/r/BendyAndTheInkMachine/comments/16ruxki/why_boris_wasnt_a_character_in_batdr/ )

Personally I don't know about the Secrets of the Machine. I haven't even played it yet. So if anyone who knows would answer this, I would appreciate it.

Boris and the Dark Survival could be called a prequel to The Ink Machine, but I think it’s more of a sideways thing that asks what Boris was up to before we run into him in The Ink Machine. There’s not much of a story to it as it exists now - just a repetitive loop of gathering supplies, not dying to the roaming monsters, and going back to base. And it really only makes sense within the context of having played the Ink Machine.

The Lone Wolf update will probably change this, but until then you’re not really missing out on much by not playing it.
