I'm having a problem finishing this music puzzle.

My order of instruments is violin, drum, bass, and banjo. I've been turning on the projector from the chair in the music room, but I still can't seem to get past the second instrument before the projector turns off. Am I playing too many notes? How many times do you have to click on each instrument? Once? Twice? Thrice?

Also, I'm playing via computer keyboard arrows so I can't exactly run quicker. Does anyone have any tips? Give me all the spoilers, as I'm sick of this section.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm totally stumped.

Show a screenshot of the solution to the puzzle that is being told in the closet on the tape recorder. The number of uses equals the number of tools in order in solving this puzzle. I have, for example, blocks: Violin, Contrabass, Contrabass, Piano. That is, I pressed: Violin, 2 times Contrabass and Piano. The projector must be pre-started.

So Captain, given that the projector is already on, you only clicked ONCE on each instrument in the order it was presented in the list? You didn't have a problem with timing? Your projector didn't turn off and cause you to yell "f*ck. sh*t. f*ck." to yourself a few times? lol This is my current predicament.

Click once each instrument (contrabass 2 times). Projector didn`t turn off.

The projector should give you plenty of time to play all instruments. So the fact that it turns itself off after you play the second one despite doing the puzzle as fast as you can is strange. The only explanation I can think of is that you played the wrong instrument. Either that, or your game is bugged somehow.

When trying to open Sammy's sanctuary, you need to click on Sammy's instruments only once before the projector turns off. It may be hard to click on all of the instruments in time, but if you keep trying, you should be able to get it. Also, you can get to the room faster by sprinting. You sprint by holding the "Shift" key.

Thanks for the excellent reply! This is what I wanted to know -- one click per instrument listed. I also didn't know I could sprint. I'm sure that's a different key on a mac. The hint did say that the projectionist ran downstairs, so I assumed running was part of the solution. I just couldn't figure out how to do it on a mac. 😂

For anyone else struggling with the timing to this, you can actually turn the projector on from the music room rather than the booth. There's a chair underneath it which you can stand on and use that time more effectively in the music room :)
