Everyone is incorrect about Joey Drew making Bendy

I think Henry made Bendy for 2 in-game reasons:

1. in the audio recording he stated having created a new character (not to mention in the same recording he talks about how Joey is a 'man of ideas, and only ideas' and 'only takes, never gives'. So if he's speaking the truth about all that, sounds to me like a guy happy to steal someone else's idea )

2. On his old work desk is a prototype Bendy with a 'no' post it note written on it. I take this as he created Bendy, and Joey rejected the idea. Once Henry left the company, Joey took the Bendy design, tweaked it, and made it his own.

Maybe he created Alice Angel, hyped her up to be a new character to rival even Bendy's popularity and then came to find out she wasn't. Or maybe he made a completely new character we've yet to see which led to the downward spiral Bendy seems to have taken, similarly to Mickey Mouse and Oswald the notso Lucky Rabbit. There's not enough information to go on, especially off from that bit of dialogue.

And the prototype Bendy with 'no' posted on it could have been rejected due to missing Bendy's signature teeth. Think about it, in every image in the game, even motivational posters Bendy is holding up that covers his face, and in the short episodes we do get to see, whenever Bendy "opens" his mouth his teeth are always visible. But in the cel on Henry's desk his mouth is opened but there are no teeth. This is the only instance of Bendy having his mouth open and not having his teeth visible, and it's been rejected.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of Henry being Bendy's creator, but there's just not enough evidence to actually say he is. As you pointed out, Henry said it himself, "Joey is a man of ideas... And only ideas." Who's to say Joey didn't envision Bendy and Henry drew him up according to Joey's ideas?

indeed, but there is just as much evidence he is the creator as there is he isn't.

Basically, there is no proof in any direction. He could have made Bendy, he might not have. Nothing in game proves it either way, and I'm hoping Chapter 5 changes that.

BUt from what i've experienced in game, I feel like he did make Bendy. Alice Angel is not as popular as Bendy, as evidenced by Susie's audio logs and the fact her merchandise is a poor seller. To me personally, it doesn't 'feel' correct that he'd have made a secondary, unpopular character and it be important enough to the plot to put into a audio log in a secret room, you know what i mean?

Again, it's a fun thing to speculate what's transpired and try to line things up, and the way BATIM is shown to us leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Hopefully in Chapter 5 it answers some of them. I like leaving things up for interpretations for people to draw their own conclusions. Sometimes communities has such creative thoughts on these sort of things.

but sometimes people get so convinced that their theory is true, that they try to bring it out on everyone, like religion does. and that can anger some people because they have their own thoughts and when someone shoots down anything you say and basically forces you to believe their theory

I'm pretty sure if Joey and Henry were friends, that Joey was the idea guy, Henry was the artistic one, they teamed up, chatting about what characters they wanna make for their animation they wanna make some day. Bendy was first drawn by Henry most likely, yet the idea of Bendy came from both Joey and Henry. Joey steals credit for others' work, so when he was asked about Bendy by interviewers or whatever, Joey stated he was the sole creator. He was blinded with greed and love getting attention from taking credit for others' work, so he never let it be known publicly that Henry had helped created Bendy's official concept art.

Anyways, I'm not sure what you're going on about turning the valve on level 14 means that Joey didn't make Bendy. That leads to a tape where Henry says that he misses Linda, and has drawn a new character, sounding like he's eager to get the character approved. But I don't think that was of Bendy, I think the character probably was Alice Angel. Cause Bendy and Boris had to be at least two main characters of the show long before Alice appeared for there to even be a show. The main level is decorated with Bendy only, it's kind of clear he was the first star of the show, there for he had been around longer than Alice.

Then again, we don't have any timeline on when the tapes were made or what order they are in, or if anyone had moved the tapes from their original locations. Think about it, Bendy loves himself, why would he drown a tape mentioning of his creation? If I was Bendy and knew of that tape, I wouldn't drown it in ink, I'd have free of ink, so it wouldn't get damaged. If the characters did move the tapes around long before Henry's return, then I'm guessing Bendy had put that tape in a place that it would drown from ink floods, cause he hates what became of Alice Angel, not only stealing his show from him in the later years, but also the creature she had become.

If Henry's tape was before the show was even really a show, it could be of Bendy. He did state when he revisited the studio in Chapter One that the place is a lot bigger than it was when he left, walls were knocked down, more staff was put in to replace him. Maybe they were struggling when he left, and it was Bendy that saved it and turned it into a popular show that it is when we visit

As you said, we have no idea of the time line about audio logs. Some are definitely from around the time whatever disaster with the Ink Machine happened, like Wally never getting his keys from the trash, but others (like Henry's tape) could be from a lot earlier.

We know there are different times for audio logs since we see Susie's beginning audio log in Chapter Two, and then a more recent one in Chapter Three. So Henry's, buried down in a drowned room, could be from before the show was a success, back when it was just a pair of friends trying to start an idea. Thirty years is a long time, and his audio was made thirty years prior to the majority of audio logs in the game.

im pretty sure both joey and henry made bendy-think about it. joey made the company, so he must have made up an OC- he wanted a cute devil that is friendy but is still having life in the underworld.When he told henry about this,henry went straight to work on desinging him.Thats why we see bendy on henrys desk- he was just making his desing

The ''Bendy'' your refering to isnt even really the cartoon Bendy. It was made without a soul. That is how Joey figured out to use souls and why it attacks everything.

It may not be the Cartoon Bendy, but it is Confirmed to be the Real Bendy. but what makes me curious, is Wally Franks, and Boris, The Projectionist, and Dead Norman, along with Allison, and Thomas. Wally, and Allision both have letters in Joey's apartment

a way you can tell henry made bendy is playing though all chapters to get the looking glass ing all other chapters in that save, go the henry's desk where he says "hay here's my old desk, i've wasted so much time in this chair" and use it in the desk, and it will say "this is were he was born" basicly saying henry made bendy cuz "he" is bendy and the desk is henry's desk

well, technically he was born from both Henry and Joey. think about it- He was born at the hand of Henry(Cartoon Bendy), but also Born at the feet of Joey (Ink Bendy)

I feel like I should note that the Museum thing you unlock after finishing the game implies that Henry created SEVERAL of the Studio's most beloved characters.
I personally think he did create Bendy.
Also maybe Boris.
