Bendy and The Ink Machine Theory
And now we start my horribly unprofessional theories.

Random questions I haven't heard anybody ask and am here to answer!

1. Why can't Bendy see you through glass?

Is there a canonical explanation? Probably not, but I'll give it a shot. My theory is that he's blind. Yeah yeah! I can already hear the shouts! "But he finds you the moment you're there! Even if you're behind him!" And that's exactly what I mean, in chapter 3 on level P you collect valve cores because (malice)Alice tells you to, and in that section you're surrounded by large glass rooms. The act of turning the annoying little wheels is pretty loud. When Bendy appears he doesn't see you as per usual. However, I preformed a test of my own by watching other playthroughs, if you start turning them while Bendy is either in the hallway or near the room, he will get aggressive and find you. A weird little detail don't you think?

Furthermore, in chapter 5 where you're walking in the hall to the demon's lair you see it's got another large pane of glass separating you. When Bendy walks by, Alison firmly states "Don't make a sound". Kind of an odd choice of words right? This line practically proves he's blind. Especially if the other ink creatures seem to know he can't see you through glass. Is it magic glass?!?! Hopefully not.

That leads me to my final point. I think Bendy is entirely reliant on sound. Surprisingly it's not as far fetched as I had originally thought. Remember how I mentioned he sees you when you turn the valves in chapter 3 while he's near? To add upon this even Alison's specific warnings is to stay quiet. These points indicate he must be reliant on sound.

I'm going to go on ahead and say he might use a sort of echo-location. This would explain how he's able to find you even when his back is turned. Even whatever was left of Susie had said that he hears everything, the quietest shifts of paper. This has to count for something. And to add icing on the cake, during the fight with the Projectionist in chapter 4 Bendy throws it's decapitated head at the miracle station, where you're hiding. He'll perk up and "look" through the slot in the little miracle station before being distracted by the Projectionist's body. That reaction is very similar to echo-location, where the sound waves of the projector head hitting the station would bounce back in reaction to your mass. Normally they'd be hollow, and it's easy enough to tell the difference if something's in there, the sounds produced when struck are very different. The fact that Bendy reacted to this is pretty telling. Plus, he can here you from a very far distance, as long as you're out of immediate ear shot.

Another thing is the heartbeat. This same effect appears around Bendy in BATDS, now this could always be for ambiance, but I think Bendy's able to hear your heart. It's established that all ink creatures have a heart, proven by the Projectionist's level with all the Butcher gang members having hearts along side their body. Hearts are seemingly important since Alice also wants you to collect them. (Not sure why especially with the new BATDR trailer but that's for later) What's important is that this effect is in Boris' new spin-off game as well. Since Boris has a heart, the idea of Bendy (Within a certain distance) would be able to find you, despite not being able to see can further support this.

So, in conclusion I believe he's blind, and uses his heightened sense of hearing plus the ink itself to navigate the studio.

But that's just a theory,

A BENDY THEORY!

Thanks for reading.

(PS feel free to write theories of your own or thoughts on my theory)

I only skimmed over what you said, but I think you're possibly right. Firstly and obviously, his eyes are literally gone, melted away with the upper part of his face. Secondly, Alice says he hears everything while doing errands for her in C3 (though she also says to be quiet when you see the Projectionist for the first time, and he hears jack diddly dee).
