So, anyone get what this could mean? How the 'respawn tunnel' is located in Chapter 1? What this greyscale world is?

I don't know, it's some kind of greyscale version of the game after going through an ink tunnel, that looks identical to the one you go through when you die.

Maybe, then again, it could be him being turned into an ink monster, considering that the room was boarded up, and the fact that you can never die in the game to get it.

That's kinda what this games ending already is though, Henry going through a timeloop, he can't die, he can never find peace.

I'm on ch.5 of my 2nd play threw, I will have to make sure I get Sercher Sammy. I don't think I saw him the first time i played. ch.5. but that part being open is intersting.

Maybe this is a sign that Sammy Escaped and I get why there were so many Searchers at the end When a Lost one Dies They respawn as a searcher Aka they go down a stage ( Just a theory ) and so when you go back Sammy escaped by breaking the boards And thus forth leading the way In chapter 1 since you dont go back
