I have no idea what that means.
Worth responding to. And sorry I rambled.
and heck, even in the more recent past, Bugs Bunny is an example of what cartoon violence used to get away with. heck! the Animaniacs in the 90s and early 2000s was worse, even! they came packed with all sorts of lewd jokes on top of cartoon violence!
while i don't think the Butcher Gang would have been inherently bad (they had their own poster, which makes me think that they were probably main characters of a branch show, like Wil.E Cayote and the Road Runner in Bugs Bunny's show), they probably got up to some comical mischief that ended up with them getting in trouble. they look like they would. perhaps they are even children that play at being a band of pirates and end every segment getting scolded by their mothers. The Butcher Gang does sound like a name children would make up to sound tough, doesn't it? haha
I remember MatPat mentioning that episode about the cult when he was theorizing that "Alice" would make clones of herself. I watched that vid, and saw the clips of that episode that were provided.
I meant that I never seeked out to watch those old black and white cartoons. I was born 1994, grew up with cable from time to time, but I don't remember watching any black and white old timey cartoons. And if I knew that an animated show had spooky themes like Courage the Corwardly Dog, I would avoid it. Yet I did see some of the episodes, and always the creepiness scared me! But all cartoons I've seen and remember seeing were colored, not black and white. Sorry if I didn't make that clear :C
A band of children dressing up like pirates? But Barley has a beard, and Charley is balding on top and wearing a suit. I think that means they are adults. :/ Yet it's unclear what age any toon is. Plus I'm not sure who they were trying to impress or make others fear them by.
A branching show? But in other posters, like Demonic Toxic, they had Bendy in a bottle. So I thought that made them in the same universe as Bendy's show, and that they were some "villains" for Bendy to face from time to time. Maybe he angered them by pranking them, so they would be angry and chase him. I don't know.
All I know is from their first poster of them all together, by the character positioning that Charley is their leader, cause he's up top, and Barley and Edgar are low him. Before I thought they were pirates and had kidnapped Charley to be their butler cause of his suit. But also villains like to dress up in suits sometimes, I guess to be classy. So I don't even know anymore. I don't know what their personalities could be like or how'd they act or do while living at the studio.
Personally, I think that Bendy enjoys pranking others and runs away to avoid punishment, but prankss cause he's mischeivous demon. Boris is his best friend, and probably helps him prank from time to time, as long as he isn't distracted by food. Alice possibly a romantic lead for Bendy, yet she tries to keep a holy act as her angel side is telling her to cause she's half angel, half demon. Maybe sometimes, she gets angry, and her demon side roars out from her built up anger. She would often try to stop Bendy's pranks, trying to teach him to be good and kind, yet he never works cause he's a demon.
And at the studio, Bendy would do some pranking from time to time, little ones, not to stop work from getting done. Boris would hang out with Bendy or he'd go chill with Sammy in the music department, playing songs on his clarinet. Alice would probably hang out around the recording booth with her voice actresses, and try to keep workers safe or aware of a prank they are about to become victim to.
But for the Butcher Gang living at the studio too, I don't know what they would do. Edgar probably trap & eat any bugs around the place, but for the other two I have no idea. I don't know what they gain from living in the real world like the main cast. :p
Sorry for rambling so much again. Thanks for your comment :D
...oh stars, though, i *cannot* see Alice as a romantic lead for Bendy. perhaps a friendly rival? she's a fallen angel, after all. i could see her playing light-hearted pranks as well, honestly. as for Bendy and Boris... i don't know if i'd call them "best buds".
if you've watched the cartoons available on theMEATLY's youtube channel, Boris is actually kinda antagonistic to Bendy... in Haunted Hyjinx, he pretends to be asleep so he can scare Bendy and steal his candy... in Tombstone Picnic, when a skeleton trips Bendy, Boris steals Bendy's picnic and then snarls at him when Bendy tries to get it back. and then in Snow Sillies, Boris drops a carrot which Bendy uses as his snowman's nose. when the snowman melts, Beris circles back and takes the carrot, eating it as he walks off frame, leaving Bendy crying.
Good point about kids and cutting hair, maybe so, but I don't know they have an adult vibe to me.
I understand that about Alice can't be involved with Bendy. But lol, I think it was tried by the creators for views, cause she's a half demon. But Bendy would pull harsh pranks cause he's a demon and likes being bad, and Alice probably tried to teach him to be an angel, and that pissed him off. But they tolerate either. But not very romantic, cause their natures are so opposite, they never work out. I see her trying to stop Bendy's pranks XD.
I have seen the shorts, and yes, Boris was mean in them, tricking Bendy to steal his candy, making Bendy trip when he pulled the blanket to wipe his mouth off, and he ate that carrot. But that could be their relationship, that they like to prank each other back any forth. He probably knew Bendy was headed to his house on Halloween, he planned ahead for a small prank. And he probably didn't have much candy with how much it was swinging around. I think in Tombstone Picnic, Bendy was heading to met Boris for a picnic, cause you can't have a fun picnic alone. Boris gotten distracted by food, so he didn't bother with helping Bendy out. Bendy probably wondered by the wolf didn't help out, and pranked him with spraying him with that bottle. Boris landed, he was surprised at first, then he was mad. Bendy got scared as Boris was showing off he didn't like that prank cause his sandwich was gone now! What was he gonna eat?! Bendy runs off, Boris gets distracted by the food again, which also calmed him down. And yes, in Snow Sillies, that was so mean of him, but it was his carrot first. And he couldn't make it winter again so another snowman could leave.
But also remember that's the show, they could act totally different when they came to life. Boris in the game, Chapter 3, aw, he was so sweet! Protecting Henry with the safe house, and keeping him friendly company through out it. I can't imagine that Boris being a jerk, he was so sweet. He was told to act that way for the shorts, the show. It was just a part. I'd really hate it if whenever the studio went to Hell that's when Boris turned all scared, friendly, and submissive. That's HORRIBLE! :C
Anyways, I hope theMeatly makes more episodes, even when the game is done. The show is so cute! And I wanna hug all the characters! Bendy is the cutest! So small and chubby! ^u^ Probably hates being called short or cute.
