On the upper right corner click your account name and then account details.
In the Store & Purchase History section go to "View licenses and product key activations" in the middle.
From your licenses page, there's a "remove" button for free products.
Now you could buy the game...
From the new menu, to even new locations in prior chapters, the old files had to be removed.
Now, this wasn't much of an issue for me, as Chapter One was ALWAYS Free,
and I never got around to purchasing the other chapters (pays to procrastinate, I guess.)
Procrastrinating definately pays off in this situation. Luckily I decided to wait for the rest of the chapters to come out.
-Go to the installation folder in your hard drive (mine was C:\Program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\) and rename the file "Batim.exe" to "Bendy and the ink machine.exe". After that you need to rename the Data folder as well from "Batim_Data" to "Bendy and the ink machine_Data".
For some reason it seems that after an update the program is looking for the "Bendy and the ink machine.exe" and the same Data folder.
I hope this works for some of you out there and be able to play again that nice game 3 years later!
