For those that are disappointed about the ending (spoilers)

(I got a lot of angry messages from here about chapter 5. I don't know anymore how many where about not being able to play or about the ending. I just perceived it, as if most of it where about the ending, soo... I might have made some assumptions here)

I write this mostly because I'm sick of reading of posts where people complain about the ending being bad, confusing, disappointing, etc.

First, I can understand why the ending might be confusing. One moment we beat the demon, then we're at Joey Drew's hom talking with him and then in the next moment we're back at the start. And I can relate why it is disappointing, since I personally hoped/expected the final battle to be something epic like being on the ink machine with the Inkdemon and a few other people while desperately trying to return to the surface, so... yeah, you should get the point by now.

Anyway, I don't really think the ending was bad. It's a very thematically linked one. You actually just need to think about it a bit and piece the clues together, to get what happened.

The scene with Joey Drew was for me obviously a flashback happening before the start of the game. He didn't come along for the ride because a) He's in a wheelchair and b) he knows about the demon and isn't stupid enough to get near it.

About the rest: if Henry made it out, what happened to the others, etc.

I'll just say following:

We freed everyone by getting rid of the (soulless!) inkdemon.

There is now a way out since there is no demon anymore, but depending on what exactly happened in the chamber within the inkmachine Henry might not be himself anymore or remember anything (think about Alice, if you know where I'm going with this).

Joey Drew was and still is an a**hole and tries to get back into buisness with the inkmachine.

Everything else: earn it. If you understand the themes and the backstory and characters, you should be able to figure it out. If not... welp, I hope you had fun with scarejumps and the atmosphere.

Anyway, this is from my side.

AND PLEASE STOP SPAMMING ABOUT JUST NOT LIKING THE ENDING.

People have every right to hate the ending or love it for whatever reason, I feel it was not worth the wait and a total cop-out, I would like it more if the message seeing item led to a different ending through seeing secrets not triggerable or locked without having that with you in that chapter giving us a reason to reply everything but it seems that just shows us what we already know

Because there are + 100 new threads because of this and I was sick of always getting new messages all more or less saying basically the same.

This was the reason why I was loud at the end.

Sorry, I didn't meant to be rude or get angry (yet this got the better of me, oh well...). I just wanted People to look around if there are other threads talking about this before making a new one.
