Missing .exe file

For some reason, when the update dropped recently, the .exe file for my copy of BATIM has gone missing. Any advice?

This is the tech support contact (found on Steam page for tech support for Bendy game). Maybe if everyone contacts them, they will pull their head out and do their job. [e-mail] I would also suggest complaining to Steam, and indicate if they are not going to support the game themselves, then they need to stop including games in Steam that have no real support. Otherwise it ALSO says something about Steam... it says don't expect your game to work if it uses Steam. It might work, but you might also just be flushing your money down the drain.

Fix found on another thread; right-click the game, choose properties, select the Local Files tab and click "Browse Local Files". This opens the "Bendy and the Ink Machine" directory. It has an executable, BATIM.exe, and a data directory, BATIM_Data. Rename them from BATIM to Bendy and the Ink Machine.exe or Bendy and the Ink Machine_Data. This worked for me, although I have not yet bought the full game. Uninstalling previously didn't even clean out the directory (so it was still there to try this) and verifying files said all was right with the world when it wasn't.

Just tried this, and while it does make some progress, it still doesnt let even the main menu come up without closing the game window.

TheMeatly, if you're reading this, please figure out what went wrong and, if possible, fix it, we all want to play this game, but can't if problems like this exist.
