The ending was dissapointing
[SPOILERS]

All those Bendy moments, all the tension, all the jumpscares, and all the work you did...just for the game to basically restart at Chapter 1. The ending was honestly horrible. I did all that for just some cheap ending of the game practically restarting. It also left many questions unanswered.
1. What was Joey actually trying to show Henry?
2. Why do we end up in an apartment after defeating Bendy?
3. What was Joey's intentions?
4. What happened to Tom and Allison?
5. How exactly does Thomas Conner KNOW Henry is there?

The boss battle itself was just as bad, too. Bendy just runs around the place like an idiot, and theres honestly no real threat. Just stand by the walls, and you're safe.

Overall, the ending and boss battle were both just trash.

I have to agree. The game had such an original story, a creepy atmosphere, lots of built up tension, and so many mysteries and questions. For me, Chapter 5 seemed promising, and I did enjoy it until the final Area. Once the Ink Machine was lowered into the structure I though I was in for an interesting and satasfying ending. Then I walk into some stupid throne room and deal with that stupid boss fight. Then I think, well maybe the ending will explain everything, but no, it’s some cheap unoriginal ending that leaves so many unanswered questions and even creates more questions. They had so many directions they could have gone for the ending, but instead they choose the one ending that made no sense and disappointed everyone.

to add salt to the wound rebeating the game with the secret message tool does nothing - why is it in the game?

To learn more about the story's lore, pretty much.

The end wasn't horrible, it was mediocre. The chapter as a whole was amazing. Plus Bendy's final design was cool.

I would say the little things added In Previous chapters do not add to the lore, they are mostly just small comments of the game poking fun at itself (like ‘blah blah blah’ in front of Susie or ‘boo’ behind Bendy)

I also prefer Bendy’s original melted humanoid form. I found that one a whole lot more creepy

I think there is more, something we are missing. Though I guess there doesnt have to be hidden meaning behind anything. I think after beating Bendy it is essentially hinted that maybe Henry died. The cut scene with Joey and Henry was what drove Henry to go back, so we are seeing how it all happened. There wasn't really a letter it was actually a conversation and a visit that drove Henry to go.

I am over all still up in the air about it all but Joey just saying 'you should have pushed harder' there might be something we are missing and I think themeatly even stated once before chapter 5 we haven't found everyone. So maybe there is something that unlocks another path.
Actually,not ALL walls are safe.
I can answer those questions,unless question 3 and 4 :
1 : He wanted Henry to see Bendy, and let HENRY find a way to defeat Bendy.
2 : Because it's an infinite loop.
3 : idk what intentions are, cause i'm dutch. I can read English but some words are for me still unknown.
4 : Idk.
5 : At the Butcher Gang spot, with the first lever there we see the Bendy robot is missing his left arm,and Tom has a robot left arm. So Allison and Tom were there before Henry, and prob were hiding until Alice Angel attacks Henry.

I think I can answer 3 and 4:
3. Joey's actual intention with the machine was to create living cartoon characters in order to make a profit. They likely would have been attractions at Bendyland if it had been constructed.
4. In Joey's apartment, there's a letter from Allison revealing that she and Tom are married, with Allison voice acting at a different film studio and Tom building more inventions

3 may or may not be correct, I think those were his motives
