missing executable

I went to download the new chapter, but now my game won't start. I get an error message with the reason being "missing executable". Has anyone else had this message?

I'm having the same exact problem. I get the same error message. So I checked the folder and it's empty. So I uninstalled the game, tried to re-install it and it claims the download is finished but it says 0 bytes/0 bytes downloaded. So I uninstalled Steam and re-installed Steam. I tried restarting my computer and everything. I can not for the life of me figure it out. Please tell me you have a solution.

Still nothing here. We're hoping that a bit of time will result in bugfixes that work.

I have this same problem. I downloaded the first episode back when it was free and now i assumed that meant i had the whole game free now that they combined it and it doesnt give me an option to buy it since steam says its already in my inventory. apparently not, not sure how i can play it now...

Everything you just described I have the exact same issue and have not found anyway to fix it either. Just wanted to let you know this isn't isolated.

Same here. I dont know if this will work for you but after I went to the options of the game and selected "remove from account" the game fully uninstalled and I was able to redownload it. Turned out I only had the demo installed and had to actually purchase the actual game. Good luck

I have this problem. Verification finds 0 files and says it's ok, but it's not.

You can also download from JudgementDaze101
and extract to #:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Bendy and the Ink Machine
