Update waiting but wont update?????

So there is an update waiting for the game but the game is failing to update????
Anyone else having this issue?????

My son is getting an error message when he launches the game, about an error occurring when updating Bendy and the Ink Machine. Is that happening to you also

Having it too. It's been trying to update since 2pm but each time I try to make it start the update or I wait for the due time, it just doesn't go and time of update goes further into the future. Driving me nuts.

I haven't even tried to launch the game as without this update installed the game wont run as I have had this issue before with other games!! :(

Something they should get on top of then soon as if its a problem thats wide spread!! :(

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, if you haven't already.

I had to uninstall and reinstall the game to get the full version as they changed things. I now have to start the game over as it won't let me play Chapter 5...

I'd try that, but with how slow my net gets when family is on, that could take a day or two to reinstall.

My old save didn't work, the posted save in other discussions wonn't work for me(it is not even seen by my programs as a file that can be extracted), so I played through until the end of chapter 3, no deaths... and then the elevator doesn't work. I fought my way to the elevator on the next floor, and I mean FAUGHT! It was loads of enemies in the way, and then the elevator call button doesn't work there. closed and tried to load into a save point I done before, but the save instead took me to the middle of chapter two -.-

Try restarting steam first, then your computer if it persists. After that if the update keeps failing you'll probably have to reinstall it unfortunately.

i tried that, and now i cant access chapter 4 and 5.

Did your last save end up at chapter 3? A lot of people are having problems with the save continuing into the later chapters, and the easiest fix is to just replay them (which isn't ideal but it works supposedly).

Steam resetted after I cleared the download cache. Still the tease of a mybe download.

When you go to your downloads (in Steam), it says Bendy and the Ink Machine is ready to play, or is there a blue upwards arrow to click on next to it?

The upward arrow is grey and I'm given a time of "when" it will begin download...this "when" has been changing for the last two hours.
