I heard that when he jumpscares you when you're going through the vent, that he gestures to you to be quiet. And Inky Bendy often never finds you when your in a miracle booth cause it's a hiding mechanic. Well, okay, one time he did find me in a miracle booth. I was destorying his cutouts, I went for the booth and hid. He finished coming down the stairs, he started to explore the room. The music kicked up when he got he his pounce stance and then he ran at me and killed me through the booth's door. That was a bug tho, it got fixed, thank goodness. And he did probably realize that's where Henry is hiding cause the Projectionist was looking at it right before he got attacked.
And there's theories of Inky Bendy not being like his little toon self while in his big inky form. That he's fused with Joey or the corrupted ink had possessed his form and made a monster form. He is interested in punishing Henry, but he couldn't just yet. He took The Projectionist away to deal with his remains. But he likes to toy with Henry, and allow Henry to see what horrors happened to the studios since his absence. It's probably to make the man feel guilty as well as the story needs to get told.
And just like all the times Henry gets killed by an enemy, he goes through an ink tunnel before waking up in front of a Bendy statue. Henry is a tool to get the story told by exploring the studio. He can't be killed off or the story would never been known. Also, whenever you die in the game, the characters don't register that you died. It's just a fail state so they can keep attacking/hunting Henry.
Also, Bendy might not be a true monster. He probably was made into one by the corrupted ink or getting fused with Joey. So all the times he hunted Henry he probably going easy on him cause Henry doesn't deserve death just yet, or he's forced to act violently. Yet spotting the Projectionist seemingly targetting Henry when the man was hidden in the booth, his toon side might have stolen control to stop the Projectionist from harming Henry. Then afterwards, his corrupted side considered attacking Henry, yet his toon side somehow convinced his other side not to attack and to deal with the Projectionist.
Let's not forget that Bendy absolutely does want you dead. In every instance where there's nothing physically between you, he chases you down to kill you.
In Chapter One (recent update) he not only knocks you down, but pops around the barricade, through the ink, to chase you down. In Chapter 2 he shows up shortly after killing Sammy and chases you down again. In Chapter 3 he can appear wherever (I'm not sure where since the updates have drastically reduced his appearance rates now) and chases you down until you make it too far away or hide in a Miracle Station.
As for the Ink Tunnels (AKA the respawn mechanic) I think it's just that, a respawn mechanic for the gamers. I don't know if they are canon to the lore of the game. Think of it like saving in a video game. Saving is in the game, but it's not canon to the lore. We'll have to see about that one in Chapter 5. Otherwise, Henry must be very nostalgic with those punch in machines.
Aw thanks :D
