1. The newly updated model does have four digits instead of five. But this doesn't really warrant a theory as it doesn't mean anything. This isn't FNaF where the slightest change to an animatronic means it's a completely different one.
2. Weshek, there's no need to be rude. He's actually correct, humans only have four fingers and one thumb. The thumb can be considered a finger, but it actually doesn't meet the same definition as your four fingers. It has two phalanges instead of three and is opposable unlike the others.
Again, there's no need to be rude here.
You know that Ink Sammy could have a different number of fingers due to he was turned into an ink creature. All ink creatures have less fingers than humans. Expect for "Alice", but she was fused with Susie, so their combined forms took on Susie's human appearance more than Alice's toon appearance. Sammy was changed from human to ink creature, making him have less fingers. Cause in animation, having less fingers can be easier to animate, I think I heard. Think of your favorite cartoons, even modern ones, it's most likely the character don't have the same number of fingers a human has.
I'm not trying to put you down, but don't let any one hurt you. Everyone makes mistakes. :)
