Is this game turning kid friendly?
I just finshed chapter 4 and i feel the game is turing into a kid friendly game...
Back in chapter 1 the prototype felt scary and a horror game bendys first model was nightmare fuel and i liked where the story was going chapter 2 introduced combat to the game witch i did not like it felt like a resident evil game witch is good but i was looking for a horror game not a surviaval horror next chapter 3 comes around introduce boris is friendly witch makes me think this just to make people feel less scared chapter 4 just felt like fan serivce to the kids of the game i wasent scared once only chapter 1 made me scared i fell like this game is trying to turn into a action kids game like with the bosses now and not a horror game anymore.

Same here. theMeatly seems to be well aware of the majority of the BATIM fanbase being very young. I assume this game was planned out as a horror game when the first chapter was made but starting with CH3 I feel like it's rather an adventure game at this point with a few occasional jumpscares. I was hoping for it to return more to the atmosphere of CH1 with the newest DLC, but the end of the newest DLCs buried my hopes for that to happen.

I dont think so...bendy 1.0(if you can call it that) Was wierd...Bendy 2.0 was much better...now bendy 3.0..now this is real deal. Twisted, skinny body..you can even see his bones. You see him and you know - you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kido.

Plus back there in CH1 we did not know about everyhing..sammy, trapted workers - now ink people..that we are ink man starting from CH2, Crazy Alice, Boris and how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up this place realy is. So i think Meatly got this rigth.

Yeah, it seems like it. The pentagrams were removed from earlier chapters and replaced with Pac-Man (or something like looks like it should be Bendy's head depending on how you look at it), a game of darts was added to chapter one and chapter 2 has an interactive pool table. Alice doesn't to have a hole in her chest. However, have been some big changes that are improvements. The Ink Machine has a grander entrance and looks better, the building has more rooms you can enter, the items in chapter 1 aren't randomized any more (thank goodness for that), there's a puzzle in chapter 2 that involves like a cartoon gag (seems fitting in the sense that it's a cartoon studio), there's an extra tape in chapter 2, and Sammy's model looks better.

You guys know this is what they originally intended for, right? Due to time constraints before, they couldn't do all this earlier. Pentagrams are too overused; they wanted something different for the game, while still resembling a pentagram. They wanted to differentiate Sammy from the other Ink People, so they gave him proper anatomy and shoes. Meatly isn't pandering to children; he's had the story in mind from the get-go. The story is what makes it horror. Horror games aren't just about jumpscares.

Why should a pentagrams be obligatory evil ? Learn that pentagrams are witch things, not satanic things, so this have nothing to do with the "kid friendly" things. They just maybe wanted something more original and was pissed that everyone was screaming : SATANIC REEEEEE while they was more witch pentagrams ( hello tiny triangle that mean Fire )

Alice dont have a hole on her chest, like other game when you get stab #DeadByDaylightMori

I dont see why this game go for kids, for me it's still a good horror game, but maybe that's just me, it was after all more intended to be a psychological horror i think, and it work

It just reminds me of how Nintendo used to censor stuff in games back in the day. Example, the SNES version of Mortal Kombat didn't have blood, Earthbound's beer references were changed to coffee, etc. I'm not saying the change is bad or anything, just that it seems like something I would have expected from the old "family friendly" Nintendo of the 90s.

She had one where her heart should have been in chapter 3, but it's been filled since chapter 4's release. Made her look more like a zombie. The changed between chapter 3 and 4 would have shown what her experiments were doing. However, I suppose it was changed for the sake of chapter 4's ending, which is just as dark.

I'm just saying there were some elements that were darker before, not that these changes are good or bad.

true fact here

I highly doubt that a cartoon wolf body with its guts torn out, an angel with half a face, being attacked by deformed cartoon characters, deformed ink bodies begging to be free from their nightmarish lives and muffled choaking voices from an audio recording and satanic undertones are "kid friendly"

True, but the same could probably be said about Earthbound's final boss battle. Might explain why the virtual console release was rated T even though the original SNES version was Kids to Adults. What I mean is that I've noticed some elements were toned down a bit.

My 5 year old loves this game but then again I grew up in the 80's-90's so no ESRB rating existed till 94 let alone not like it mattered since you just had to have an adult with you regardless after.

Basically what I'm saying is, games back then were far worse with visuals like Dark Seed for example.

Look I'm not saying that kids can't play the game, hell I play this game with my 5 yr old nephew. I'm just saying that little kids are not the target audience.

Oh ok then I didn't interpret it right so my apologies. Just used to people going crazy over this or that nowadays when it comes to kid friendly or not when back then wasn't an issue and figured same case here.

No problem! Personally I take a grain of salt when people say whether or not a game is 'kid-friendly.' Each kid is different and parents just need to know what their kid can/can't handle. I wouldn't play anything like Outlast with my nephew but BATIM, FNaF, and other games like that are fine to me. IF he's cool with it, and so far he has been. So all I can really say is know the game and know your kid.

Same here but usually when I come off and say something people take it the wrong way and I get assaulted haha...I agree though, my boy loves BATIM and FNAF but yeah I don't think I'd let him play Outlast, that might be a bit too much lol. I'd probably let him try it out though if he bugged me about it, he would probably stop playing it after 15-20 minutes anyway from getting too scared.
