Chapter 5 boat ride is a gaming mess and totally unplayable!!

I for one really love the game and when chapter 5 came out was really looking forward to it but when you get to the boat ride and you're being chased by the giant hand the game becomes a nightmare!!
Talk about spoiling and ruining the game as this certainly does that!!
I neither have enough time to get all the ink of the back of the boat and press the handle to go forward or if I do get rid of all the ink I don't have enough time when I press the handle to get away!!
This part for me at least has ruined what was otherwise a great game as if you can't get past this point then you cant get to and see the ending!!

Huh, weird. I had absolutely no problem with it on either of my play throughs of that chapter so far. Having to do it 5 times was a bit obnoxious, though.

A lot of people struggled at first, but you get the hang of it after a few tries. You just gotta hit fast, turn quickly and get going before the Giant Hand can get you.

for what ever reason my game wont let me move to hit the ink blobs. its like there's an invisible wall. any idea how to help?

Are you able to move on the barge? You have to be within range to hit them and the hitboxes are a little weird. Once you find them, it should be fairly easy.

WTF to do exactly in sewer river level? I never see nothing at all when I turn around and yet Im instakilled by whatevers in river. And i cant move on boat for odd reason, just look around.

The boat stops because ink blobs got into the paddle wheel. You're supposed to remove them with your weapon to be able to move again. The game literally tells you to do that the first time it happens. Also, it's a chase sequence, so if you stop moving, you die.

Have to agree. Garbage part that made me rq several times. The hitboxes for the little gooey things are atrocious and if you miss once you're as good as dead.
