Help for switch glitch? Seeing tool and archives not unlocking

I recently beat chapter 5 and at the end of the credits it said that the seeing tool and the archives had been unlocked. I went to select a chapter to get to the archives and it still said it was locked. I started chapter 1 and I didnt have the seeing tool

Is this happening to anyone else on the switch??? I even beat the whole chapter again just to see if it would work and it didnt. I was looking forward to using the seeing tool on the other chapters so this is really frustrating to deal with

Did you play the whole game up until completion? Using "Chapter Select" disables any progression towards unlocking the tool and Archives. You need to continue on a save file until you have beat the game.
