When does Bendy and the Ink Machine take place?
This thought recently entered my head and got me thinking, which time period is Bendy and the Ink Machine set in?

And I don't think anyone has asked this particular question before.

We know that there's a thirty year gap between the past and the present when Henry turns up at the studio in Chapter 1.
I suppose if we wanted to pick a date, then the studio's equipment and cartoon style strongly mirrors that of the 1920s - 1930s film industry with black and white film.

So with that assumption in mind, the game itself is set in the 1950s to 1960s, roughly thirty years onwards.

What do you guys think?

Pretty much many already thought this when the first one same out specially with the type of technology they are using around the area
Somewhere around 1930, Seems how the art style is like a cartoon from the 1930's. :steamhappy:

Yes, you are right. That also means Henry most likey fought in WW2, which ended on September 2, 1945. He lived through (Or fought in the war) during The Great Depression, which lasted from 1929 – 1939. And that's not even mentioning the time it possibly took Henry to get the letter and go back to the animation studio.

Henry worked with joey for lets say five years starting on let's say 1925 and he was 20 let's say and left somewhere during 1930. So he'd be about 50 (possibly older or younger)

Sorry, I started to ramble
