Gearboxes, can't complete mission

Hi,

So, I'm having issues with the fetch-quest for the four gears. Every time I try it, one or two boxes are empty and the last one I find isn't possible to interact with. Not sure if this is a glitch or I'm missing something.

There's gear boxes on every level. They're not really that hard to find. Start from level 9, and go up using the stairs and check every level until you reached level K. There should have at least 2 gear boxes.

2 Gear boxes are always open, the stairs can hold some too. I usually check along the way towards Alice where they are to save me time. K tends to have 2 or the stairs does so they are your best bet.

I'm having the exact same issue. I find that I can't interact with the gearboxes behind the shelves in the toy room, it's always that room that has issues for me. Because of it I can't progress any further like you. Is it general for you, any room, or have you also got a specific location where the gearboxes aren't interact-able?

May be that room itself, soon as I walk past the 3 Boris plushies to the dead-end my frame-rate drops to hell. That corner is evil

If there are gear boxes you can't open, save at a punch-card thing then restart by quitting and clicking play again. Keep going through the mission and restarting as needed until you can interact with all of them or at least find all 4 gears.

If only it were that easy. I've saved and reopened a fair few times now, I've spent an hour alone on this section but it's always that room. It's kinda disheartening that every time I have to close and reopen I lose my progress and have to redo the gearboxes, but c'est la vie. I think I'll have to wait for the patch with bug fixes before trying again, I've tried everything short of uninstalling and reinstalling but I'm not so sure I want to do that.

This goes against what the quest is tho. Angel specifically said on Level K. Not 9.

yeah I realize that now. So many changes to this and other quests :(
Plus one of them wasn't even in a box. Some monster had it and dropped it but you don't realize that
