Chapter 3 is Garbage...
It took me a full hour to beat this chapter. I like the length, but it had no substance. This entire chapter is the player making errands. If I wanted to go to work I would have. I don't want to play a horror game just to do what I already do at work and not get scared. Placing enemies everywhere and hiding spots, with no real use because I never had to use one, makes me feel like I'm just playing a Game Guru game. It was boring, repetitive and not worth my money. I was expecting a lot more. People are saying that this chapter is the best yet and I really can't agree because the game turned into a "key-finder" game. Find this number of "X" and take it back to "Y".

Honestly, with each chapter i keep geting a stronger impression that this game is very much similar to Amnesia: Dark Descent. Im not really trying to compare the two, but they very much do have similar vibes and playstyles. And Amnesia was pretty much nothing but fetch quests and running from things you couldnt kill. It really is the best chapter so far. If you dont like quests like that then i would avoid games of this type. What, did you expect this chapter to be a dating sim with Borris or Alice? No. Your supposed to be running for your life and trying to find a way out. They only thing standing in your way (in this chapter) is Alice, and she wont do squat for you unless you do what she asks. Hence the quests. To be fair, i tried using the hiding spots, but couldnt use them effectively. The first time Bendy spawned he actually spawned right where i was standing, which caused a huge slowdown and my immdiate death XD The one time i successfully jumped in one when bendy showed up he immediately knew where i was and got me regardless. However, this is the perfect example of why you dont rush development on something. There will be bugs if it is rushed out, and the vast majority of fans of BATIM have zero patience i've seen.

I wasnt a huge fan of this chapter. I didn't mind the fetch quests at first but at about the 45 minute mark of doing basically the same one again I was contemplating quiting and just coming back to it another time.

not trying to be rude but saying chapter 3 is 'garbage' is like calling yourself fat and others calling you a twig everyone has differant opinions and @TheOceanOfStars has a really good point Alice won't let you go if you won't do as she says because as an eg.if you wanted me to do something and i did it i'd expect the same thing from you and the game is still key-finding, the errands is trying to find everything so Alice will let you go.

I just don't understand why this chapter just had so many fetch quests and plot holes. Alice could have taken Boris anytime she liked because she controlles the lift. Then after the lift fall we should be dead. Honestly I wish she would have just killed us instead of making us do errands for her. It was boring and repetitive. They could have taken out the fetch quests and placed more time into world building instead. The fetch quests are just an excuse for the player to feel like they need to do something gameplay wise.

I understand people complained chapters were too short but making them a fetch quest to make them longer does not justify it, there are other ways to make a chapter longer without adding in so much padding, I really hope chapter 4/5 does not have fetch quests, no offense to Meatly but this one had enough fetch quests for the entire 5 chapters

Exactly what I was thinking. Or they could have tried to make this a side quest type of thing. Where players who took time out of the story to do these things would have gotten something special.

Exactly what I was thinking. Or they could have tried to make this a side quest type of thing. Where players who took time out of the story to do these things would have gotten something special.

I think people would not have minded much if one of the routes was totally different, maybe Demon's route was more dodging Bendy while finding secrets/clues to the story more while Alice's is the fetch quest and learning her side. Both could of easily ended with the elevator ending as it seems Alice can keep track and see what you are doing so would of explained how she knew you had the Boris she wanted
