Need tips for Butcher Gang fight

I'm replaying chapter 3 after the patch and I'm at the part where you have to fight the Butcher Gang on level 9, along with searchers. It seems like the Butcher Gang enemies now take more hits to defeat, and I keep dying in the fight. I try to take out Searchers as they appear at the beginning and wait for the Butcher gang to come to the bridge, then start fighting the first one or two. Searchers appear behind me and cause damage.
I completed the chapter once before the patch, and I only died once in the fight sequence. But now I can't get a grasp on all the enemies coming. Does anyone who completed this after the patch have advice on how to attack, or where to go for the majority of the fighting?

before the fight, get the axe from the destroy the bendy cutout part and break into the barricaded door on the left of the elevator on level 9, in there is an axe, don't pick it up but rather wait until the butcher gang fight part and while alice is talking run as fast as you can up to the room with the axe that i just mentioned and get the axe but stay in the room because the butcher gang members are dumb and can't get through the door so while they try to get through the door hit them with the axe till they die. tell me if this helps :)

This game must be super buggy. First, I finished the "destroy the Bendy cutouts" objective the last time I played, and had the Butcher Gang kill me a few times so I decided to save and quit. Today when I picked it back up, I was on the "destroy the cutouts" objective again and it was a huge pain because this time, every time the ink demon showed up and did his painfully slow round, he would immediately reappear so finishing that objective again was like 3 min of waiting in a Miracle Booth for every 5 min of gameplay. I finally completed that, but after starting the Butcher Gang objective again I started regenerating right in the midst of the butcher gang while still equipped with the axe from the previous objective. With the axe I was able to kill the Butcher Gang easily, but when I went to return the axe to the Alice mailbox thing she started the Butcher Gang objective again. Now the Butcher Gang music and sound effects are playing, but the Butcher Gang is nowhere to be found. Probably because I already killed them with the axe. So this is starting to feel like a stupidly glitchy game.

ez m8 just wait untill one guy strikes ,when he is trying not to fall walk up and punch him with the pipe (BTW is it rly dat hard?)

I know how to kill the butcher gang ez pz lemon squeezy!
1:when you get the axe first ace liek boris and go his left to a 3 wooden blocked door (there will be a searcher and tape) a axe will be there
2:when the BG come RUN to the door and grab the axe it should take 1-2 hits to kill them
