Hidden battles in chapter 3

Through the BATIM community on Twitter, today I experienced a previously unknown event in chapter 3. First, make sure you have opened the room to Grant Cohen's tape recording. Then turn in the ink hearts to Alice. Next, go to the room with Grant Cohen's tape and look between crates to the left where you will find an axe. Take it up the stairs to the toy room in level K (between the large room and the room where Alice first appears). Part of the wall near the switch on the toy machine is a row of perfectly horizontal boards that can be chopped or shot down. If you get the tommy gun, pick up the axe BEFORE you turn in the hearts so you will then have the gun for this task.
Breaking down the boards reveals 3 levers. You can only pull one at a time, and each one initiates a battle to take place in the large toy room. Be careful and realize that Bendy may still spawn during these. I personally prefer to wait in the Little Miracle Station between fights and let Bendy pass so he's less likely to appear during a fight.
The fights in order are:
1. A lot of searchers (Bendy does nothing to them if he appears)
2. Several Butcher Gang members, though a searcher also appeared for me during this. A friend of mine was "lucky" enough to have Bendy appear and wipe them out.
3. One GIANT searcher which takes a lot of hits to defeat, and I had to restart with the gun to avoid getting too close, though it should be possible with the axe as well. Upon defeating the searcher, there is a large quake but I have not yet found its effects in the chapter areas.

Important to note that if you die any time after starting these battles, you have to start over from the first lever.

UPDATE: I have only accessed this from a save point myself, but I have seen/heard others play through the chapter fully and access the levers before needing to collect or turn in the hearts. After lots of searching on both Angel and Demon path, we have not yet found out what happens after the final phase of the battles. Perhaps something will be unlocked with a near future update. Please share with the community if you find something new, and upload screenshots if possible.

It is definitely possible to defeat the huge searcher with an axe, though to be fair, it got stuck on one of the fences so I kinda cheated. xD

Also, you should be careful if you use the axe!
If you exit the game at any time, even if you saved, you will have lost the axe upon rebooting. If you have the Tommy Gun, that should be no problem. But if you have the Gent Pipe (like I did) you will not be able to break the boards down again because the pipe can't break them!

His and Mike Moods' tweets motivated me to go secrets hunting.
Just as I was about to give up, I found out you could destroy the boards with the axe if you're on the last mission.

If I would've given up, nobody would know about this secret today, because I was the one who found it.
I'm sure somebody else would've found it someday but considering that this secret went unfound for a long time (probably because the extra axe wasn't added yet), who knows how much longer it would've been.

I'm glad I got to share this with the community! :)

Wait, did you chop the boards before turning in the hearts?? I don't remember if I tried that (I think I did but I'm not sure) and if you can do it before turning the hearts in then you could check level 14

Wait, did you chop the boards before turning in the hearts?? I don't remember if I tried that (I think I did but I'm not sure) and if you can do it before turning the hearts in then you could check level 14

You can get the boards at any time during Norman's mission as long as you don't turn the hearts in. You can also shoot them with the Tommy gun in the demon path.

Wow. So you have to chop down the boards blocking the room with Grant Cohen's tape, using the first axe, right? Then get the 5 inkhearts, don't turn them in, and get the second axe? Good. I would have the Tommy Gun by then, but they drastically increased Bendy's spawn rate during the Bendy Cutouts mission (3 spawns in about 5 minutes, crazy). Also, what if you use the first axe from the Bendy Cutout mission? Or does it have to be after you get the hearts?

I tried cutting them up with the first axe during the fourth mission. They don't break then. You have to do it with either the second axe or the Tommy Gun during the sixth mission *before* turning in the hearts.
It doesn't work with the Gent Pipe, btw. So you have to remember to get the second axe if you don't have the gun.

I swear it worked for me before without turning them in..
