I respect people have certain fetishes but when they make it part of the fandom like, in your-face type way that is when iis cringy, like the bloated or foot fetish which is some reason increasing with young people.....

However with people having sexual attractions to cars or even buildings, not really surprised if you have an attraction to spring-trap, hell we joke all the time about how sex bots will replace women someday

Most fans either don't know about the underage kids possessing the robots (since this fact is hidden and you won't find it by playing the game normally/casually) or ignore it/pretend that the robots aren't possessed and just have really advanced AI that gives them full Sapience/Sentience.

A good example would be the fanfics from DeltaV on FanFiction.net, he outright says in the note at the top of his first FNAF story "The reason the animatronics attacked the guards in this story is the Phone Guy's reasoning that they assumed they were endoskeletons out of place. That remains unconfirmed, but there is nothing paranormal (ghosts, demons, etc.), in this story. Just intelligent robots with a creepy amount of sentience".
