In chapter 3, he goes after you for various misdeeds done on Alice's behalf including vandalism.
In chapter 4, he catches the projectionist chasing someone and intervenes.
1. Ch1 he could of gotten you past those boards, after all he can go through walls
2. Ch 2 he could of either, been mad Sammy was sacrificing you (good) and chased you away at end because that door was bad for you OR he didn't like Sammy acting like the boss so killed him
3. Ch3 you were working for Alice who seems to be his enemy so course he would be pissed you are doing that even if he did not know why, that and you did destroy his lovely cut-outs, dude gotta see his beauty somehow
4. Well he saved you from Norman sooooooo good however he may have evil intentions for you deeper down, after all for all we know he needs you alive, either to save/reverse what he did or to end it all and finish what he intended.
1. He was either weak at the time and has been building strength this entire time
2. He's only been playing with you, shown by how he taunts Henry by running his finger along the vent slat and peers in at him in the station before leaving.
