A dead project, I'm assuming?

So, I saw this game on the list and thought the gameplay looked intriguing, but I cannot get past the character creation.

Character has been created on the EU server (The US one has yet to appear Available, only EU)

Hit Enter the Game and choose 1 for EU server, which is showing a ping at the time. It instantly shifts to "Not Available" after I select it, then hangs at a blank screen. Being the stubborn bastard that I am, I try hitting the "Enter the Alpha" button on the right of said character screen, and get taken to an unusual and unique web page and try to Enter the game from there. With a web page result that says "Try again later, hit F5 to Refresh"

From reading here, I am not alone with this problem and since the last update here was in April and the last update noted on the web page was in December of 2017, can I safely assume this has become a dead project?

Just keeping the status updated, also greetings from 2021. No servers available when trying to load the game. What a shame, this looked like it had so much promise.
