Correct me if I'm wrong
Is there any big difference in the gameplay and level design?
Gameplay videos look the same.
As far as I remember, no. They're the same. The story is different and I've seen some people say that they liked the first one over the second because of "events"
hence why main characters dont remember a certain...caster
What are the changes gameplay wise?
quite big honestly
extella felt more stiff in combat like an actual hack and slash
while link has added skills that you can use in battle, like 4 of them by your choice
and link got rid of uhh forgot name but there was this ability in first game that makes you invincible for a while and buffs your attack
most are mad about that but eh its not that big of a deal
imo i prefer link gameplay, feels more smooth but repetitive levels
However, Extella Link is a side-story sequel to Extella since it does follow the events of the true ending of Extella. The devs call it a 1.5 entry and it's designed as a LINK (haha, get it?) to a potential true sequel in the future.
