Rep/Clique Points
Seems like no matter what I do I'm always in the negative with the group I'm working on. Now all of the cliques are -30 and I don't know how I'm not out of the school yet. Ha. Like, if I go into them by clicking 'check', some people have a lot of affection up, but others have none. And I know if I see that person listed and hang with them or take a job they think is awesome I get affection in their bar.... but dang. I can't seem to keep it up.

Am I doing something wrong? 'Cause at this point I'm spending more time worrying about being kicked out of school over romancing my guy. :/

I'm still in the middle of my first playthrough, so I'm definitely not an expert, but here's what I've been doing. I haven't been worrying about particular people in the cliques so much, just the cliques themselves, and I seem to be doing fine for the most part. When you're given the option to respond to a random person at school (stay and talk to them, wave to them, or ignore them and leave), have you always been going with the "stay and talk to them" option that raises your affection points with that particular person? I don't know for sure, but I suspect that raising your points with a particular person in the clique doesn't necessarily raise your reputation with the clique as a whole. I usually do either the "wave" option or the "leave" option, depending on which clique I want to raise points with, and then equip an item on the weekend geared towards my weakest clique.

But the cliques aspect is the bit I'm weakest at, so it'll be interesting to see what other folks say.

I played way too many hours yesterday and got fairly far. Mostly because I'm playing free right now and wanted to know if I wanted to buy it for the other guys. So far I wanna buy. I'm doing Everette right now. So I'm not sure if you're as far as I am. But, my points WERE over 250 at one point with the Populars. And now, no matter how much I hang with them, work at the places they like, or spend time with their members oneXone, it seems like I'm always at -30 for them overall.

Weird. I think I'm in April of Year 1 right now, at maybe 270 with the Jocks and anywhere from 60-150 with the other cliques. I'm also playing the free version, focusing on Nate. Did one of your stats get below zero? Maybe that could cause all the rest to plummet too, even your high Popular stat. Or maybe it's a bug?

They just started dropping and stayed down. I even bought booklets for the populars to raise it 7 points for each purchase and it didn't do anything.

Then all I can think is maybe it's a bug. Do you know about the cheat code for clique stats? It wouldn't exactly fix the problem, but it'd at least let you get back to romancing Everett without having to worry about the cliques.

I do not! o.o

I haven't tried it yet but saw it elsewhere on the discussion board: they-should-know

It's supposed to give you 1000 points with all the cliques, which sounds wonderful. And it should work with the free version, not just DLC.

Do you know where I put in the code?
Bookish Sep 5, 2017 @ 12:34pm
Go to the shopping district and visit the little girl (Calla, I think is her name?). One of the things you can choose to do there is enter a cheat code. I don't know if it takes effect immediately or if you have to wait for Monday to happen.

Woot! Thanks! ^_^

@Blade
Hi! I'm glad you were told about cheat codes so you don't have to worry about the Cliques anymore. We have more cheat listed here, if you're interested-

The reason Reputation went down and kept going down is most likely because you let some other Clique get too low and got hit with penalties. Being especially high with one Clique isn't enough (unless that Clique as hit Max Reputation), all of them have to have a decent amount of points. If not you'll be hit with Reputation decreases across the board. And the more Cliques that dislike you, the bigger the decrease will become each week. Eventually it becomes impossible to dig yourself out of that hole.

As for the Popular booklet not doing anything, did you equip the item? Purchasing an item gives you the right to use it later. 7 Points aren't gained automatically for each purchase. You have to hit the backpack button on the weekend screen and specify that you want to use it. Only item can be used per week. If you did do that and it still didn't seem to give you any upward progress, it was probably because you had penalties that decreased all the bonus points you just gained.

The gameplay can be tricky, but that's why there are cheat codes, aha. Good luck with Everett!

Thanks so much for helping Blade out!
