WRC 7

Slide Physics and Counter Steering
When compared to Dirt Rally or PCars2 Rallycross, it seems both of those sims require you to lead the turn with more drift angle and then a lot more counter steering slide accelerating exiting out the turn (or at least balancing the slide longer sometimes can balance the slide with just throttle/brake and less countersteering). Basically, a lot more leading the turns and then countersteering / balancing longer slides while powering out of the turns where WRC7 seems to tone this style down a good bit (wrc7 still needs countersterring though).

This has been one of my main observation differences between Dirt Rally/PCars2 offroad vs WRC 7. I play with full manual wheel and pedals and all aids off...(experiences may be different with aids on).

Anybody else agree, or am I off??

Does not make Wrc7 less fun necessarily though, but just want to see if others agree?? Helps to make the observation, and then make proper adjustment when switching between games.

WRC 7 has slide physics, I play it anyway even though the FFB is rubbish and the physics aren't perfect. It's a big improvement over the previous WRC games, this is the best WRC game yet.

I hate the way the cars rev out in 1st and 2nd gears, these are 4wd cars but just breathing on the gas lights up the tyres like its on ice
For my experience you have to find the right rhythm to get off with the best speed off the low speed corners, and the right feel to change the gears helps too, on the first 10 hours I have exactly this problem but with the right handling the car comes realistic and powerful off the slow corners...

I would of liked the option to change each gear instead of this silly slider we have now.
Yes that would be perfect, hopethey will import this option to have full control in any section

+1 on the idea of being able to set each gear.

However, I can understand the reasoning for just having a final gear in a rally game as you wouldn't really be able to fine tune each gear.

The FFB is what makes it horrible in correcting or maintaining a slide... it feels rubbery and disconnected at the counter steer torque

Rubbery? Do you have Damper enabled on driver settings? Disable it (0%). Just spring is enough, damper gives a rubbery feel

I know some guy who can already change every gear, also can change slide value fo forward and for backward wheels

Really ? Who ? ^^

Everyone who buys his hack can.

Buying a hack to cheat ? No thanks Anton_Vit

Stop promoting your trainer here, I saw it on youtube. Despicable...

What is a bit difficult to manage is once the car drifts substantially, counter steering is less efficient than in DR. The grip on the WRC cars seems to take too long to kick in, giving a non natural and fluffy feeling. So I do not know whether it is due to the physics of the game or just my bad driving.

But what ennoys me the most is despite setting the gear box in manual (on the wheel), many times on a turn the gear shifts up alone, like if the automatic would take over the manual setting, inducing loss of time to reboost the car...any one witnessed that?

Think it is a lot of work to get great on this game, think that’s really not arcade, it is not a hardcore simulation, but the feeling of perfect contact to the road, the feeling of what is possible at the limit is very very hard to learn, I have driven nearly 2000km in this game and I can top my times over and over. Go the german epic stage today, was 21 at the leaderboard, that’s great for an 48 years old guy, playing on an rolling office chair with an old Logi Driving Force GT... I love this game, it is a light simulation with a lot of realistic feedback...

just to correct a few config files, but the developer is unlikely to go for it, because it is not for the hardcore the game was made.. alas
