Without giving away too much, I think its safe to say that:
- 5 of 8 of that list is on the feature list as of now.
- 2 of the 8 are tentative.
- only 1 of the above is not being considered :D
Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
I look forward to give my support to you guys in the future!
I like the sound of that!
On the side, I truly find that this gem is underappreciated.
On a practical note, there's always the review you can give, as these go a looong way in helping games/apps on Steam stand out over time!
So i cant recall where in the forums I last mentioned this, but before we re-embark on "Strain 2" development, we're working on a "small" , free to play, multiplayer title atm (not quite Strain related) that we hope to release around mid-3/4 year but i will say that it features ideas and mechanics that are essentially part of what "Strain 2" will be. :)
Once that game is out and stable, we will hop right back into "Strain 2". The semi vertical slice/ proof of concept was being done up around xmas 2017 actually, before we shifted sideways onto this intermediate title! In any case super excited for both!!!
I honestly cannot wait! :D
This is fantastic news!
ST2 will be a day one purchase for me, so I'm glad to hear it's in the production queue. The other title sounds very interesting as well!
Where will you post information about this intermediate game when it releases? I'd like to check it out.
Um, can i make a suggestion for this game? Maybe have bigger battles going on in larger 'warzone' maps, where your squad fights alongside fellow UN2 forces (cloned on-site from the cryovats or dropped in by allied Helibases, i don't mind) to piush back an overwhelming Strain invasion.
That will really give the sense that you are part of a larger military operation and are one small 'cog' in the UN2's cleansing machine, rather than being the only guy in the setting who can do what dozens of others can't (like in Strain 1, where only YOUR squad can arm the neutron bomb to kill the 'Heart', which was a bit annoying to me).
Also, maybe have the ability to upgrade unit stats manually at 'genetic engineering' stations at the base (i mean, if the UN2 can mass-clone people with their memories intact, then it's not BEYOND the impossible that they've mastered genetic alteration too right?), i would LOVE to be able to upgrade Colony Breachers to perhaps lose HP at a slower rate from 'Hurt Locker' or maybe even (for a hefty sum of 'R' credits) remove the HP drain entirely! That would make them so much more awesome, but perhaps at the cost of resetting all their levels to 0 and making them unable to gain new levels as a trade-off.
Just a couple of suggestions for gameplay, I'm still hyped either way!
