cant unpause

i cant move or unpause i cant still click on everything else and it pops up so its not frozen but i don't have the option to save when i hit menu. If i close the game will i lose all my progress? Because if i have to loose the last 7 hours after i finally have a great crew of lvl 10s with good traits i may as well uninstall.

i quit the game and it set me back about a month which wasnt to bad
