Also there are actually quite a lot of threads in the forums discussing 3dmark having a black screen. I searched the forums for: 3dmark black screen, and I found many threads talking about it with

If you click on the install button, there is a "Cables" section. You automatically start the game with some black, gray, & white cables (more available for purchase as you advance levels). Select
the type & color of cables, & they will display on the bottom left of the screen.

Note also, you can click on the cable box (bottom left of screen), to choose a different type or color of cable.

I was having the same problem. The benchmark tool was showing full black screen (FPS, frame and time bar, and results still work), so while waiting for the test to finish, I select the PC (to finish
closing the case) and when I exit editing the PC that benchmark screen started working again. In summary, seems that choosing the PC while it is benchmarking, could be a workaround for this issue.
