Mission: Spend less than 500$ for a 2k score
Dont know if this is a bug or not but i got this missions from j.choudry@minitech.com (the guy cheated by the son into buying a gaming pc saying its for school) asking me to build a 2000 3dmark score pc spending less than 500$ to teach his son a lesson.
Cool mission, but i cant complet it. At most i got a 1500/1600 score spending 490$. Tried various combination, low price pieces with best GPU possible, low price pieces with best CPU possible, balanced CPU/GPU with low price pieces. Tryied AMD and Skylake CPUs. Nothing. Can anyone help? Is this a bug in the quest request or there is some chance to get it done?
Thank you.

Use this list and you should be able to easily complete this and still earn a small profit.

Has the data changed in recent updates? With a G4500, 2133 MHz mem and DFL R9 280 GR8 3G, I only get 1656 CPU points and 2019 GPU points.

I didn't realize when I had posted that that there was an update today. I guess those tables are out of date now.. boo :(

Yes they changed pentium cpu score in the last update https://steamcommunity.com/games/621060/announcements/detail/1653261512195925673
Anyway 500$ pc always scored less than 2000 for me.
With best gpu (msi radeon r7 370) and lowest cpu (intel) it was around 1600.
The combo best cpu (ryzen 1200) with worst gpu (gtx 1030) has even lower score coz the gpu impact most on the score than cpu.
In free build i tried lots of combination, maybe i should try with more ram slots used to rise cpu score and a balanced build. Ill try later and let you know.

Ok. I tried lot of combinations under 500$ dollars, this cant be completed atm.
Can someone move the topic to bug reporting? or should i open a new thread?

I think this is a part of the gameplay. You can choose take the job or reject it from the beginning.

I had to end this job as it cannot be completed right now

i dont think. This isn't just an underpaid job, u have the objectives to spend less than 500$ and hit a 3d mark score of 2k. I would gladly spend much more, i already did all underpaid job, but the game simply force u to hit all of the objectives. And before the las update this can be completed, apparently.

Someone knows If i quit this i would get any other mission from the same guy? I think this is the last one from him, just curious.

Did it. F-ING DID IT. God this one is a very HARD quest. it's a pity i had to reach level 18 to have some real challange. Anyway... SPOILER AHED giving the solution and some screen.

The key to hit 2000k score is heating dissipation. Initially made all test on 80$ CoolerMaster MasterBox 5 case, and always got blue screen with best GPU available for 500$.
Changing the case to a Silverstone RVX01 allow to use the 10$ cpu cooler instead of cryorig c7 and use the spare 20$ to buy the celeron G4400 insted of the G3900. So here it is the build:
180$ MSI GeForce GTX 960 GAMING 100ME gpu (or 1 of the to equivalent variant)
65$ Intel Pentium G4400 cpu
100$ Mortoni Z170 Mtech mobo
20$ Mortoni Value Supreme 2GB ram
20$ Mortoni EZStore 120GB hdd
20$ Shean Powerking 250 psu
80$ SilverStone RVX01 case (Green for me, to match the gpu)
10$ Mortoni Thermal 100 cpu cooler
Total 495$ (525$ with shipment but not counted for the objective)
Final 3DMark score: 2090

Here's some screens just to brag out a little bit.

Just because it's ok to you, doesn't mean someone other dont want to try different combinations in different cases instead of reading it on my post. I tought maybe someone would like to know only IF it can be done not HOW it can be done.
Part of the in game fun, at least for me, is to do this type of "experiments" and as i said before its a pity i had to reach level 18 to have some real challange. i'd like to see more difficoult quest like this one.

There are tools released by the community to complete most jobs correctly, without losing money, folks just have to use em.

yeah pick cheapest parts and u hit at most 1600 after the last update. CONGRATULATION u failed the job. at least read the other replies before posting, if u dont know what game updates changes. And the tools needs to be upgraded to the latest changes too, every score of the lowest cpus have been modified.

It seems that you forgot to read the date of the last post in this thread before you replied to it. This is a 3 year old thread. The original post was answered 3 years ago in 2018.
