Yup. I can safely say that it does affect your electric bill

It does but it's completely irrelevant. The cost of the power bill is trivial and won't impact your ability to advance in the game XP wise and it won't impact your budget. There's no need to be concerned about the power bill. You can even just not pay it and nothing negative ever happens. Unlike real life they won't cut off your power in-game if you don't pay it.

If you're interested in saving every dollar you can while paying your electric bill, then turning off the lights when you leave is relevant and will help you save every dollar.

If you really want in the early days in the starting workshop, you can just leave the lights off all the time, and work without them. Just remember to switch your PC off before you leave at the end of each day, and you'll barely use any electric.

In response to Snakeman below: I assume the Workshop PC uses Electricity because that's what PCs do in real life. If you're saying the PCs in game don't use Electric, then by all means leave them all on all the time.

I thought I tested leaving your PC on, and found that it did not affect the electric bill, and that only the lights affected the electric bill. Can you confirm? Please be sure to test your theories before publishing them as fact.
