PC bay = useless
barely any savings, and sometimes twice the delivery days for a mere $2 saving

well sometimes if you're not in a hury to get the parts. Like stocking up on some stuff so you don't have to way for next day everytime.

agree but honestly most the stuff at least those that ive compared are barely any cheaper at all, i mean to a point its not even worth doing it just to stock up. the tools seem to always be equal price to the store as well so im not even getting a saving on the 10K auto cable tool.

It is extremely useful. I am at level 14 and what i have been doing is stockpiling PC Bay parts. All those little savings add up over time and sometimes you genuinely save a lot. e.g. $50 - $100 off a gtx 1080 is a big deal in this game.
Using PC Bay to find parts for a job you are busy with is just a waste of time. You should be aiming to finish all jobs within one day.

i do x3 jobs at a time, all 2 come in same, day go out the day after unless time limit means a same day delivery, perhaps just the ones ive compared, but so far not seen much what i call a worth it saving personally

Later on you will see GPUs for upwards of $200 off. Those are really handy for the PC building missions. Also any common items like PSU, or R3 1200s are really good. Same with the AB350 motherboard.

Yea I’ve started buying the top end stuff since making the thread
You people are really funny sometimes. If you can't manage to pay full retail price for your parts + the $30 overnight fee for stuff when you need it then you're really doing something terribly wrong with this game. PC bay is indeed completely useless. After level 10 you should easily have $7000+ at all times during career and easily be able to afford anything. Half the time I overnight things for $100 just because it's more convenient and want to get done faster, and the jobs are still profitable even with that if you know how to play correctly and buy the correct parts for each job the first time. Money is a big non-issue in this game.

Well it’s certainly not the half price bargains I was expecting...

particularly with most items averaging a mere few $ cheaper.

The savings on the top end cards and processors is a tad more appealing price wise but still...

It’s there as a feature, and it’s alright to a degree, just I was as saying expecting a good 50% discount from time2time, etc

if you're not in a hurry you save a few bucks on the product, but also on shipping costs. I usually buy extra chasis, psus, memory and misc stuff off of there.

It's certainaly helpful in the long run, I check PC Bay day to day and usually end up buying a thing or two. (Sometimes I even end up buying everything available that day. Rare though.) Usually Graphics Card buts sometimes RAM, Motherboards, CPUs, etc. (Least common being like hard drives or case fans or power supplies (most of them). There cheap as is... I'm not going to buy it for like $2 off.)

Don't remember when I started, but I have a hoard of graphics cards thanks to PC Bay. It comes in handy with builds/repairs as I tend to have the part on hand and can complete it same day. As mentioned though – this is in the long run. Obviously takes awhile considering the general 5-10 shipping times with PC Bay.

I pretty much buy anything off PC Bay long as the cost is at like $20~ or more preferably. Sometimes I bite though when the stuff is only like $10~ off just to add that case to have on hand or whatever it is.

It certainly helps alot with GPUs imo, saving that $50-$130~ on them. The biggest savings that I've made so far though (although this was something I used for my PC) the Cooler Master MasterWatt 1200 MIJ or whatever. Power Supply is $999, got it on PC Bay for $749. $250 off? Couldn't pass that :steammocking:

Do you have to get to a certain level to access PC Bay ? A friend of mine has just bought the game and says he hasn't seen it yet?

I'm just waiting for a bit of a discount like 10% or 15% before I buy the game. It's on my Wishlist.

If you have some steam trading cards there's a few folks in the trading forums here that have -33% off coupons for trade.

I think it's available from the beginning. You have to buy it though from the store under tools, it's like $800 I believe.

Only reason I used PcBay is to get my hands on tools that are level restricted in the shop.
