Additionally my own personal thoughts: This game is simulating a small mom`n`pop computer repair store. In real life no one that owns a server machine like this would ever take it to any off-site repair facility due to data security. They would never have any servers like you described in any small repair shop. In the DataCenter world they either pay a service contract and a service tech comes on-site to do the repairs, or they just get an entire replacement chassis and switch the drives over and boot it. Servers do not ever end up in repair sites like we see in this game. I think it would be very not realistic to see something like that in this game because it doesn't happen in real life.
Hey, regarding your personal thoughts. I understand that and thats not really the thing i had in Mind. I thought about them adding like a two story Map where one Flor is like a room full of empty racks and the one above or below that is like an office where you can play a NOC engineer and repair your own server hardware and manage recources. You need to connect all the wires to the computer if you add a new Server. manage switches and so on. I think that would be a great idea.
But if the dev team has already decided on Server Hardware thats unfortunate. I would love it if they added it. so if you wanna blow this post up by any way do that. maybe we can get them to add it anyways
you spoke my mind. What i mean is rack mountable Stuff. Thats so much more than just having a tower case full of Hardrives. Especially because even 4U cases limit you in case of CPU cooler. I for example switched after 5 days of aircooling on my CPU cooler to an AIO cause even the biggest Air cooler that could fit wasnt able to get rid of the heat and it capped at 103°C so yeah. I like the challenge of Rack mounted pcs. Now i have 85°C as my highest
thats what i dont understand. I think its a market gap. There are probably many people that would buy such a dlc cause they dont have the money to build such a pc themselfes
thats i think where i disagree. Of course the majority uses consumer grade cases and hardware but what i also think is that many users of this game are computer nerds like me and would love to test out enterprise grade Hardware like dual cpu mainboards or switches and server racks. Of course this isnt something that a small computer repair shop would do in real life, but you would also not see a small computer repairshop have a big aorus robot in their shop thats 2 Stories high and can change color through a drone. I think there would be many interests by users of this game cause this game i think is for computer nerds and playing with things youcant afford or even get cause its only for enterprises is always fun.
Yeah unfortunatly.
What do you mean? ;) i cant quite make out what you want to say
