Project Neptune mission cannot be completed

I'm on level 26, and the there is a job to fix and diagnose a PC for "Project Neptune". You are given a $300 budget. When you tear the PC apart, only the motherboard is broken. Replacing the motherboard for $170 does not complete the job; it still says to diagnose and fix, even though the computer runs perfectly, and all the other parts are labeled and can't be replaced.

I lost at least 30 minutes of progress as I had to revert to an old save and reject the job. These story-line jobs need more testing, as I've had to end several of them early because of bugs

It must be more like a glitch than a bug as I was able to complete that job with no issues. However I did have one that I lost a week of in game play as it had the same problem you correct the problem and it won't update the job.

The PC might have issues, still. I doesnt just need to turn on! Consider Viruses or take the whole pc apart and together ;D

Did you check for dust in the fans? Dust in the system? Broken fans? Viruses? Does it throttle if you run OCCT? Did you remember to check for thermal paste under the processor?

Did all that, except I don't think I ran OCCT, but 3D mark didn't show any throttling regardless. Well, I can't go back now and try anything else anyway, as that save is long gone

wait ! you can stil save the account with cheat engine! and then just get rid of the PC and done. There are no consequences for cheating.

Other than discussing cheating in the steam forums is a violation of one of the core site-wide steam rules and you can be hard banned for it.
