Also this looks like a bug, since normally AMD CPUs cannot be installed in an Intel chipset system and they usually do not get things mixed-up in the missions. Usually ....
When you try to reassemble the system via "Install" select "PC Parts". There you will see all the components ripped out of the PC and the ones with the yellow stickers on them _have_ to go back into the case. Try to work from there: If both CPU and motherboard have stickers you are screwed. If not, you can make it work with the right components.

When you rip out CPU and motherboard you will end up with having them both in the "PC Parts" section and then you can only quit the job.

Thankfully this is an optional mission.
I completely forgot you can quit jobs
