No jobs generated after level 33?
Ive done significant tests and checks, but i cannot get the game to generate random jobs if my profile goes above level 33\? |If i go above 33 |(34 onwards) all jobs fail to generate. no emails. If i use cheat engine to reduce back to 33 and below, they come in again? Whats happening here|?

What's happening is that level 33 is the maximum level. Once you reach full bar of xp on level 33, your level and xp doesn't increase anymore, so you can't reach level 34. If you do it by cheating, well, you already described what happened. It's not a bug.

Exactly.

More details here:

The random jobs are configured to be available for a min-level and max-level. You can find this in the TextAssets of the game, or looking at the "Parts & Unlock Levels" guide's "Source Data" "Excel TextAsset" export.

Currently, the hardest jobs are set with a max-level of 33, and 33 is the highest level in the game.

If you somehow cheated to be a level higher than the max-level of the game, you can expect to get 0 jobs. It's not a bug. Instead, you put your save into an unsupported scenario with your cheating.

This game will not advance you in levels if you cheat your experience with CheatEngine, even if you were below level 33 it would lock you at what ever level you were at when you used cheat engine for the XP. Also if you use CheatEngine for advancing your money the game will lock you out of being able to use PC Bay in career mode.

This is what i suspected was happening, but my game goes above level 33 on its own? all the way up to 40? I have hardware expansion mod but to my knowledge that doesnt remove the level cap in any way. Im literally having to use cheat engine to go BACK to level 33, every time it goes over on its own accord naturally. Very strange

You're using Cheat Engine and mods. Therefore no one in this forum can assist you from this point. Whatever "odd behavior" you're experiencing with the game is most likely to do with how you have modified it and cheated with it. You're going to be on your own figuring that out. Mods are not supported with this game. You will get no help or support figuring out what's wrong with your modified game.

Hi, from messing about a bit i can confirm neither of the things you've stated are true just as an fyi, no clue where you got your info

I got my information from personal experience and from reading the forums. I have read every single forum thread and every comment and message in each forum thread in the steam forums for 3.5 years now since the game first came to steam in early access. If you use CheatEngine to advance your money in career mode it will break the game and you will be unable to use PC Bay afterwards. The game will detect this and you won't be able to build computers and sell them on PC Bay after using CheatEngine to advance money in the PC Building Simulator game. This has been documented as a "Bug" (It's not a bug, it's something the developers coded in to the game on purpose) in the steam forums by multiple different users over the past few years in different threads. Additionally I have personally tried to use CheatEngine to advance experience points in the game to level faster and it doesn't work. We can move the experience bar up but then when we complete jobs the jobs will stop rewarding XP and our actual level progression will never advance.

Ok your reading level is great but your experience is lacking. I have literally just done both of the things you claim are impossible. PC bay still functioning fine and levels can be increased and decreased at will, and it is registered and counting in the generated jobs, and savegames

Im happy to set a stream up right now to show you it can be done without any issues. I use it to skip all story missions and go straight to max level generated missions for a better freeplay experience

Perhaps I was doing it the wrong way. When I did it with CheatEngine I was able to get the level to progress but then when I closed cheat engine and tried to complete customer jobs it stayed indefinitely at the level it was at currently and never advanced beyond that no matter how many jobs I did. So I assumed it was broken.

Also: To break the game and break PC Bay you have to advance the money in cheat engine early in the game and before you have access to PC Bay. Then later when you get access to it it'll be broken. The white labels will appear as an outline on the whiteboard but you won't be able to actually get a white label out to place it on a computer to sell it. If you advance the money after you have access to PC Bay it doesn't seem to bother it.

However the bottom line is: Anything you do to the game, either CheatEngine or mods or anything can and will produce "Unexpected results" within the game. From the moment you use any outside mod or program with the game you have to accept that any problem or "apparent bug" with the game can not be reported in the game's steam forums (as a bug report) and you also expect you can not and will not get assistance from anyone else in the forums. You broke it. You fix it.

Thankyou so much, im surprised nobody else has discovered/been vocal about this yet. IT also means alot of HEM parts arent accessable while playing post-story career. For now im using cheat engine as a workaround to return myself to 133000XP (Start of level 33) but yeah maybe increasing job generation algorythm somehow to 40 would be super cool!

Ive just received an explanation from someone who was actually willing to listen, understand whats going on and help, even related to the mods (which most users play with). Please be gone unhelpful, incorrect furry

There's no need for targeted insults like that. Everything I stated is true. CheatEngine does break the game. It's a fact and documented.

Hardware Expansion Mod (HEM) Maker here, thank you for finding this bug i will release the patch for it in a day or two (if i am not going to be busy with irl stuff) and also try to be more respectful to Aquafawks here, he is trully the moderator of this forum since the beginning of it. I know he doesnt like mods and i completely understand why, please no block Aqua. And for any future bug finds for HEM try to report to Hardware Expansion Mod's Discord Server wich link can be found on Nexus Mods page of the mod in description, Thanks

Just to be clear I am not a moderator. I've never pretended to be. I'm just a normal user like everyone else. I have a lot of time on my hands and I try to help folks by sharing information if I happen to know the answer to something. It's not that I don't like mods.. it's just that sometimes folks try to submit bug reports about something wrong with the game while using mods and they may not understand that the bug they found could be related to their mod and thus it shouldn't be reported. It's just my opinion but I think folks should only report any bugs with the game if they are playing the vanilla game only without mods. That's just my thoughts though.
